The Men's Breakfast brings together a mixed group of men from all walks of life at the Red Lion in Bishop Sutton every couple of months for an excellent English Breakfast and an entertaining speaker on Saturday mornings.
Previous speakers have included Dave Wiles of Frontiers Youth Trust, Anthony Bush of Noah’s Ark Zoo, Noel Fellowes, author of “Killing Time” and Bob Grace, publisher and promoter some of the most influential rock albums of all time.
This is a very warm and welcoming group, who would encourage you to come along to the next event and join our "Band of brothers".
Our next Men’s Breakfast is on Saturday 20th April 2024, 8:30-10:00am when Prof Stuart Burgess will be speaking on “Designing the fastest track bicycle in the world”.
Stuart is Professor of Engineering Design at Bristol University, he designed the fastest track bicycle in the world that gave the GB team a haul of medals at the Olympics. He is involved in satellite design including the Hubble telescope and joint mechanisms in animals… “the friction loss in a healthy human knee joint is one fiftieth of that of the loss in an Olympic track bicycle chain drive”.
